Living with anxiety and depression is not easy. Most days, we are unaware what it is that is affecting us! Is it just sadness, is it starting again? People looking at you from outside might think – “OMG, she has everything, job, house, great family and friends, new relationship. What can she be sad about?”
She doesn’t know, herself. She doesn’t know what makes her sad. But today, she is aware, she is alert. She is sad for the worst heart break she has ever experienced. This heartbreak, doesn’t let her cry, doesn’t let her be angry, doesn’t let her get closure. She is sad because, it is exhausting. She is sad because, she wants to get drunk, cry and wake up after 3 days.
This man who broke her heart told her, he will not be like her father. He told her, he will not leave her. He did exactly the opposite. He left her, he treated her like her father did, he ghosted her. He displayed his actions, “I don’t care whether you are dead or alive.” This makes her sad. This makes me sad when I look at her. I see her smile with exhaustion in her eyes. I pray she pulls it off for a few more days. Happy days are here. She needs to know it.
