Essential Packing Tips for Stress-Free Travel

I have traveled a lot and my packing skills end up being over-packed or I definitely forget a few essentials. I need at least four weekends before the trip to start the packing. -I am a very slow packer. I need 100 song changes. I have 2 people with whom I chat all the time. I find random clothes and end up trying them on. This results in an in-house fashion show.

I make a checklist of how many pairs of clothes I need. Other than that, it’s the smaller items that need a checklist. Here’s my go-to list.

  1. First Aid Pouch – Include basic medications like paracetamols and digestive help. Add pain killers, band-aids, and ORS. Consider adding pain relief spray, cough drops, and an inhaler.
  2. Dry Snacks – I prefer a biscuit or chips for any late-night hunger pang.
  3. Wet Wipes (1 big pack and 2 travel size) – I need the big pack for the hotel. I need the travel sizes during traveling.
  4.  Dry tissues – I usually carry a few travel size tissues, as I can get this at any restaurant, hotels.
  5. Basic gadgets – Chargers, earphones, power bank
  6. Extra T-shirt – Just in case you spill something on your current dress. I am very clumsy, so I would for sure drop something.
  7. Grooming Items – Comb, lip balm, sunscreen, perfume.
  8. Mouth Freshener – Some mints, I keep a few cough drops with me.

These are very basics things that I usually have in my sling bag.
